In August, Astrid did a research stay at the MPI in Golm, Germany. She learned to perform stress-strain analysis with nanoindentation and she cut and polished her human samples collected previously for synchrotron radiation.
In June, Astrid did her first research stay at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Osteology (LBIO) in Vienna, Austria. She prepared human samples and collected data from different imaging techniques that will be used for the next part of her PhD.
In April, Tim did his first research stay at the Politecnico di Milano in Milan, Italy to extract fracture properties of 3D printing inks used at the University of Liege in his PhD framework.
In October, Alexandra did a research stay at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute of Osteology (LBIO) in Vienna, Austria to learn and conduct experiments. She was also invited to present her work at the LBIO annual retreat in Illmitz.
