Alumni
• Dr. Astrid CANTAMESSA
Astrid has conducted her PhD in our lab from October 2020 until June 2025. She worked on the biological and biomechanical characterization of the cement lines in human osteonal bones.
• Dr. Alexandra TITS
Alexandra has conducted her PhD in our lab from October 2018 until January 2023. She worked on the on the morphological, material and mechanical analysis of the bone-tendon complex at the Achilles tendon insertion.
• Dr. Yann DELAUNOIS
Yann has conducted his PhD in the Science Faculty and in co-supervision with our lab from October 2017 until May 2023. He worked on the mantis shrimp cuticle, characterizing its architecture and mechanics using various techniques.
• Dr. Laura ZORZETTO
Laura has conducted her PhD in our lab from November 2014 until October 2018. She worked on the development of novel bio-inspired solutions to enhance mechanical properties of composites produced by additive manufacturing combining the experimental and the computational approaches.
She is now holding a Post Doctoral Researcher position at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces (Potsdam, Germany), working on Principles of Matrix Architecture in Biofilms.
