Last Tuesday, our lab member Astid Cantamessa successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled: "Looking Beyond the Boundaries. High-Resolution Multimodal Characterization of Material, Mechanical, and Biological Properties of the Cement Line in Human Osteonal Bone". Congratulations Dr. Cantamessa!

Albano, Valentine and Edoardo took part in the advanced courses on "Bone Cell and Tissue Mechanics" in Udine, Italy. They came back full of knowledge and added new acquaintances to their network.

This year, almost the entire team took part in the Liège Métropole race last Sunday: Valentine, Edoardo and Quentin ran the 7 km and Astrid, Laura and Davide ran the 15 km. Congrats to all of them!

On Novemeber 16th and 17th, Astrid presented her work during the Annual Meeting of IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society & the 21st National Day of Biomedical Engineering in Bruxelles, Belgium. She was granted the best poster award by the National Committee of Biomedical Engineering. Congratulation to her!
